Why would anyone make maternity shape wear without an open gusset in the crotch? My other spanx all have this feature, and they’re not even designed for mamas who need to visit the restroom every two hours! The fit is decent but the waistband slides down; a silicone band would be a welcome addition. The gusset design is a deal breaker- these will be going back if they are returnable.

I have loved my regular Spanx for years, but they just don’t have maternity figured out yet! The first big issue is the length. I am 5’4 and these shorts went down to my knees – much too long to wear with any dress on the shorter side. And the belly area (as another reviewer said) is much too tall. There was a full 1 inch fold of fabric at the top of my bump, all the way around, which I’m sure you would have been able to see under clothes. The actual hip and underwear area was more traditional Spanx (quite tight, as expected) and provided good shaping, but the overall fit, comfort etc was not going to work

These are extremely comfortable and not too constricting. They mostly give an overall smoothing appearance rather than hold you in. However, the shorts are WAY too long and I had trouble wearing them with a short dress. The seams around the bottom of the belly are a bit bulky which would make it difficult to wear these with anything form fitted. I do love how high the come up, I’m long-waisted and they still fully covered my 6 month belly.

THese are terrible compared to every other pair of spanx I’ve owned.
Frayed lining, hot material, bunching in the crotch fabric when standing and also not evenly stitched.
What a bummer – returned

These are comfortable and smoothing but not enough support for the belly. They also got a hole after only a couple wears.
