Bought these after reading a review in Runners World. They fit my feet great and provide the cushion I was looking for. I walk 7 miles a day on cityscapes and these handle the traction just fine. Love the reflectivity as a lot of that walking is done in the early mornings! I’m hoping they are durable and the soles don’t wear out too soon. After two weeks I see minimal wear.

The shoe could be a little more stylish but overall a very nice running shoe. Personally, I like a little stiffer heel than this shoe offers but I’m getting used to the softer flex.

These are my first Brook shoes and based upon the fit and all else I will purchase another similar style shoe from the Brooks inventory in the future.

I’ve had three pair of the Ghost model, size 12. Thought I’d give the Trace a try. My forefoot was swimming in the Trace size 12….an 11 probably would have fit. The tongue and heel back of the upper are thin, which is not the case with the Ghost. The Ghost is a bit more expensive, but to me the quality feel of the Ghost outranks the Trace substantially.

I usually take a size 12 but I’m these I ordered 12.5 and they were perfect. It my second pair and it is very comfortable

I don’t consider these to be running shoes, my review gives 5 stars for these shoe’s unique characteristic of ‘comfy all day while standing.’ That said, I’ve run almost 20 miles in these in 3-6 mile increments over the past year or so, lace them up tight and you’ll be fine. The tongue is NOT attached to the sides so it slides around, this has not caused any problems for me though. They are VERY cushiony, I teach elementary school (5th grade, 10-year olds) so I am on my feet for 5+ hours a day and my feet do not ever hurt at the end of the day in these. That’s a helluva statement right there…doctors, nurses, sign-twirlers, and filibustering congresspeople would all love these. I’ve washed them a few times with a bunch of towels, they come out looking brand new.

I ordered one pair of every Brooks running shoe after Brooks made drastic changes to the Glycerin 19. The Trace was the only Brooks comfort shoe that fit me. It felt really good to wear it. It has a roomy toe box. It is not a running shoe. It’s a “standing all day long” shoe. For running I found that the “Hyperion Tempo” works really well. Due to all the padding in the Comfort line of Brooks shoes the Tempo will cushion muscles in your lower legs. That may keep those muscles from developing correctly. Since the lower sides of this shoe are white, they get dirty easily. It would be nice for Brooks to offer a grey lower side of the shoe.

I own other shoes from Brooks and bought these because of the experiences I’ve had with the shoe company as well as how I can wear them at work with my business attire. They fit great, offer a lot of support in the heel, and I’ve received a ton of compliments for how they look.

I have to use an orthodic insert due to my high arches. This shoe gives great support and is helping with heel issues I have. Why do I always wait to long to get new shoes- should have purchased these months ago…
