I ran across these shoes while I was on a lark, just looking for something cheap. However, since they were “BROOKS”–the only brand that I have found to be perfect for my hard-to-fit-feet–I opted to “try them on in spite of the price”. I’m going to keep them–in spite of the price!! 😉 Although the soles are on the soft side, they do provide excellent support. (Perhaps because they are so thick??) The strong flexible fabric also deserves kudos!! Simply by adjusting with the shoe strings, the medium width adjusted very easily to my narrow feet. I laced up around 5p.m., and it’s now almost 11p.m. Brooks and Zappos = a dynamic duo!! These “boats” [sic] were made for walking…

This shoe was comfortable but the thick sole made walking a bit awkward, and I sent them back. I used to wear the Brooks Ghost which they no longer make.
