Cassie –
With Brooks I go up a half size or more. These 9.5 Glycerins are still too tight across the toes. I prefer Brooks Ariel for walking but they seem to be no longer available at Zappos.

I am a Brooks and Glycerin fan and this shoe is awesome! It is so quiet on the road and floors. True to size length, roomy toe box so I did not have to get my typical wide. High volume feet rejoice- no gusset on the tongue means I can control the snugness. The foam has a dense springiness that is fun to run in. Not a fast shoe but the stable platform does have some pop if you want to speed up to catch a traffic light. I prefer this over the Ghost 14 because of the springy sensation under foot. Try it!

Brooks are my go-to shoe for everyday. In the Glycerine 19 I wore a 9 and it was perfect. In the Glycerine 20 I had to go down ½ size to get a fit similar to before. The 8.5 in this year’s shoe is ever so slightly less roomy in length compared to the 19’s but the 9’s felt huge.
I was hoping for a more neutral white/gray when the new model came out and the oyster/latigo/coral was the best option. Colors are true to photo and feel spring like but not crazy bright. The cushioning is as expected and why I prefer this style.

Really like the cushion in this shoe. I ordered a 9.5 M in the black /blue /pink and a 9W in the black. I usually wear a wide. The 9.5 was actually wider in the toe box , just a little longer. Very little difference in fit. Kept the black 9W, liked the look of it.

I have high arches and the wide width are perfect. Extra toe room and doesn’t pinch the top of my arch. Also love the cushiony sole. Definite improvement over the 19 just which offered more colors in my size.

Having already enjoyed my Brooks Glycerin 19s, I wanted to add a second pair of Glycerins to my regular daily rotations and purchased the 20s. As with the 19s, these are very comfortable on my injured foot. For over a year, I have been unable to wear most shoes without enduring extreme pain, including some of the high end max cushioned/comfort popular brands. The Glycerins and my Oofos are my daily go to shoes for comfort and I would not be able to function well without them. Hoping that Brooks keeps the Glycerin line going strong for many years to come.

Love these shoes. Have a bad knee and Brooks Glycerin is the only shoes that make it feel better. I’ve been waiting for the 20s to come out. Have 4 pairs of the 19a

I just received this shoe and it’s amazing. A little more room in the toe area is a plus. Also, I read reviews before buying. One said to go down a half size and she was correct. They are very pretty too!

Depending up the model version, I can wear a Brooks 7 or a 7 wide. This time the regular was too tight but the wide was just a bit too big which meant they weren’t as comfortable as they should be. I was going to keep the wide anyway, but for the price and the horrible color, I just couldn’t do it. I ordered the Oyster color thinking it would be an almost white with bright color accents. Nope. It was a light beige and reminded me of my grandma’s orthopedic shoes. Even the foam was beige. It did not make me feel motivated to exercise. It’s ok to have some neutral choices, but some of us like exciting too! It’s been an issue for quite a while to the point where I just keep getting the black. I’m not doing it this time. I really wish Brooks would get a new designer that knows color. Sorry Brooks. Love Zappos though!

Perfect out of the box. Took a 90 minute walk and totally comfortable. As with other Brooks, I get a full size larger (usually a 9 and I get a 10). Good toe box and no slipping in the heel (which is a common issue for me). They are not the cutest, but they do the job for power walks.

I have been a Brooks Glycerin fan since probably the 14. I have the 17 and 19 and alternate them daily. I did have to go up 1/2 a size when I went from the 17 to the 19. With the 20, I started with a 10.5 (my original size) and felt they were too narrow. My toes were sore at the end of the day. And I have skinny narrow feet with the long dominant 2nd toe. :)The size 11 were too big and didn’t offer the stability I needed.
Even though they look nice, I didn’t find that they had any support on the bottom of the foot. They didn’t mold, so to speak, to the layout of your foot like the past Glycerin. There was some “bounce” in the walk but that came mostly from the heel for me. I also need that bounce and support under the ball of the foot.
I could be the odd man out here as I see really great reviews. But for the price point, they really didn’t work for me.

I just received my Brooks glycerine 20’s today!!! I take an 8 wide…. they feel just a smidge longer & a lot more roomier in the toe box than the Brooks glycerine 19’s. And the left shoe rubs on the inside just below my ankle bone, so i tied them on the outer eye hole, fits better. I LOVE the Glycerine 19’s…fits like a glove! The 20’s…are way over rated in my opinion. I own several pairs of 19’s. I won’t be purchasing anymore 20’s- way too pricey for the product. I will take these for a spin inside for awhile to see whether or not my planter fasciitis flairs up! Time will tell if i keep them or not! Maybe I should have went with the 8B?

I bought my first pair of Glycerins almost a year ago to the day. Simply put….it feels like you’re walking on clouds. I have owned 2 pairs of 19’s and just got my 20’s this week and I’m already in love. I love the support and comfort they provide when putting in long miles. They are lightweight and durable. I also love the new design as afar as what the sole/heel of the shoes are made of. The phrase “You pay for what you get” can be taken in so many ways. Yes, these shoes are pricey but so so worth every penny. My own and only very slight complaint is that I wish there were wide options in all of the different colors.

Always have to order a half size larger in Brooks. They fit and feel great.

These are narrow but they are too wide through the toe area. They are a pretty color and lightweight.

This is my second pair of Brooks Glycerins, I switched from HoKa Bondi’s bc my foot is narrow and I was getting calluses in the Hoka’s because they’re relatively wide for me. Seems like Brooks only offer one style in the narrow width for Glycerins but as long as there’s at least one narrow offering, I’m good. Has definitely made a difference in that I don’t get the same calluses I was getting in the Hoka OneOnes.

Brooks has changed the sizing of the Glycerin 20. Even though I ordered the narrow, it is still too wide. I will keep the shoe because I need the cushion and will just have to add another insole.
Anonymous –
I purchased Brooks instead of Hoka because it has the wider toe box. Fits perfect after getting half size larger

I always wear Brooks Glycerin shoes. However, the Glycerin 20 fits great. The extra room in the toe box makes them fit the way they used to before the Glycerin 19. The Glycerin 19 did not fit well.

Was a little small

You need to order a size up. This is the 8th pair of these I have purchased. They are the PERFECT shoes for my feet. Lots of support, comfortable and cute!!

Am using these shoes to run a marathon. Sized up a half size. Was able to do a 20 mile run the first time wearing them. They have a lot of cushion and are great for people that overpronate.

I have been buying another brand for years and tried this based on reviews for support since I tend to supinate. These shoes are so supportive and yet cushiony. They felt so nice to jog in. I am impressed so far. I have a narrow back heel but a wider front toe box, and usually my toes get a little too snug when I run. No issues with these shoes. They are pretty perfect. I wear 8.5 in dress shoes and sandals and usually go up 1/2 size for running shoes. I went up to 9 (1/2 size up) and they fit perfectly. Great shoe; I will purchase more.
