I like Ghost shoes by Brooks — this is my 3rd pair. I use them mainly for walking. I do a lot of walking nearly everyday. They fit my foot very well. I decided to upgrade to a pair that is water-proofed bc of getting wet feet with the regular Ghosts. This model, style is very nice — not loud and weird colors which many walking shoes are. These are simply black with a bit of moss green. If I could have the perfect pair of walking shoes they would look more like the Converse one star or the old school Adidas. I like the skater style of shoe however they don’t offer the support I want.
PS — I have bunions on both feet and the Ghosts fit me perfectly!

I returned the shoes. It felt like there was something raised across the ball of my foot. I’d been wearing Ghosts GTX forever. Older models are sold out in my size. I was quite disappointed.

These feel tighter than a regular Brooks Non-GTX shoe of the same size.

I would give these shoes 5+ stars if I just needed them for walking/hiking. I’ve been having foot issues, and these were like walking on a cloud. However, I needed them to be waterproof, and these shoes did not hold up. Barely a month in and my feet got soaked on a rainy day. So pass these up if you’re looking to keep your feet dry. Also, as some reviews have mentioned, the laces are ridiculously short.

I run in the woods in New England about 300
Days a year. These are great. They have kept my feet dry in rain, snow, and mud and they keep them warmer than the non GTX Ghost. I wear a womens 11 in street shoes. Usually get a 12 in running shoes. I think I could have gotten an 11.5 in these.

Beware Brooks Ghost fans: these Ghost 14 are a COMPLETELY different fit. Rigid instep. Hard midsole. Extremely high arch lift. Narrower toe box. Painful. I have plantar fasciitis and Brooks Ghost have ALWAYS been the only shoe I can wear for comfort and support. These are a totally different make. Caused foot pain immediately in the arch because of the strange hard lump that runs across it. Couldn’t walk in them more than five minutes- and I’m someone who likes and needs arch support. These feel more like rigid hiking boots or trail running shoes- not sneakers. Not running shoes. Returning immediately for an old model 13. I’m happy to pay top dollar for a good fit and supportive quality shoe. So disappointed. Praying these are not going to be the new Ghost models moving forward!!

I’ve been running in Brooks for several years now and needed a waterproof pair. So far these are just as comfortable. My only small complaint is the laces don’t stay tied unless I double knot them.

I ordered these in my normal 8.5 – same size I wear in the non-Gortex Ghost and a sz. 9. The size 9 fit better – the 8.5 felt tight. they are stiffer than the regular Ghosts but that comes with the waterproof material. I buy a pair of these every year – perfect for PNW rainy weather and beach walks.

I normally wear Glycerins but needed a waterproof/resistant shoe so I purchased the Ghost 14 GTX. I was extremely disappointed when I tried them on. The toe box is abnormally narrow in width and in height which caused numbness and tingling in my toes. The shoe strings were quite short. They are very well cushioned and have good traction.

These shoes are great. I run in the woods almost every morning and these shoes keep my feet dry though mud season. snow, and rainy days. They do seem to run a bit small. I normally wear an 11 street shoe and should definitely have a 12 in these.

I bought these to go to vacation where there is a chance of rain and they held up wonderfully in the light snow and heavy rain. The gortex kept my feet dry. I ordered a half size up since I’m a wide width and these don’t come in wide, so they fit perfect!
