These fit just like my GTS 21’s. They aren’t as cushioned as I hoped but the biggest disappointment for me was how short the shoe strings are. I can barely get them tied. So if you like to double knot your shoes before a run, forget it. I haven’t decided, but am leaning toward making my 21’s go a little longer and returning these. Not impressed with them like I hoped.

These were just okay. Shoe strings are extremely short – hard to tie once and a double knot is out of the question. Not very attractive either.

I’ve worn the Brooks Adrenaline line for many years and these fit very similarly to the 21’s. Width, length and arch support are good. As others have noted, the shoe laces are so short that they can barely be tied. I like the shoes so I will just buy a longer pair of laces for them. I’m always disappointed that Brooks only offers a wide shoe in black, white or gray for women…I’d like to see something a little more colorful. Overall, a great shoe.

I liked the fit, style and lightweight aspect of the shoe. However, I have severe overpronation and this didn’t quite have the support I need, so it’s going back.

I have owned several pairs of the Brooks Adrenaline GTS athletic shoes over the years. Each pair has been exactly what I need in the areas of arch and heel support, stability and overall cushioning. I am not a runner but I enjoy walking and I am constantly on my feet on tile and concrete floors at my work. After wearing these shoes all day I do not experience foot fatigue or pain. I have narrow feet but the medium width has been perfect. If you are an avid walker and/or spend the majority of your time at work on your feet, I highly recommend these shoes for you.

I wear nothing but Brooks Adrenaline GTS sneakers day in day out all year long, and have done so for many years. So I know them well. I stocked up on the GTS 20 and have a few pairs left, but last year I didn’t buy any 21s because they were uncomfortable around my pronating ankle. I love the GTS22! I always order size 8, but in the GTS 20 I noticed that the new mesh with the holes in it seemed not to fit as closely as the more traditional knit kind of fabric. So I ordered 7.5 which is what I wear in regular shoes. They fit me well with my usual thin wool or cotton socks. They might be a little too close fitting for some, but I prefer the way I am able to move than with a roomier shoe. It’s one of my orthopedic quirks, of which I have a lot. Anyway, this GTS22 has excellent stability, really great cushioning, very nice roll in the forefoot and corrects my pronation just fine–and the ankles are cushioned nicely. It’s true that the laces are too short (why at this price–or any price?) so for some people this might pose a problem, especially if you need the extra lace hole at the top (which I do in an 8 but not 7.5). Of course the laces can be swapped out if necessary. I love the shoe enough to overlook that. Wish also that the women’s came in the bright blue like the men’s, or any fun colors (loved the leopard print and the green floral print 20s). I got the grey with black soles and they are pretty sharp looking. Will definitely buy another pair or two, just not sure yet which color and also the price point has crept up, like many items these days. Thanks, Brooks! And Zappos!

felt a bit smaller then the 21 style.. otherwise the same shoe

The shoelaces are so short I could barely tie them; could not double-knot. Definitely would not be able to tie with orthotic inserts. Returning for 2020 model.

For the price I paid for this shoe they shouldn’t squeak when I walk in them.

I’ve worn Brooks Adrenaline shoes since at least the GTS 16. Over the years, they’ve made changes to them, and I always have some complaints. The 21s were different depending on the particular shoe I received. Some rubbed at my ankles and others just felt off. However, I loved the cushion. The 22s are hard as rocks. I mostly run in my Adrenalines because I overpronate but I couldn’t even walk in these. It just felt like I had wooden boards strapped to my feet. I returned them and bought up the rest of the 21s in my size. Hopefully they will last until the 23s come out, or else I will need to switch to another brand.
Mandy –
These fit great and what you’d expect from the Adrenaline. Would really like Brooks to come up with some better colors/designs. Is it a rule that running shoes have to be ugly?? I got the white with purple…hate the colors but love how they feel. Do better Brooks.
Sheri –
Nice looking but did not feel like the GTS21 for comfort and fit . Shoe strings TOO short. Sent back.
Melissa –
These shoes feel more narrow than the GTS 21 and the laces are too short.

I wear a 8.5 wide. But these were to short. And would’ve had to get a extra wide. Shoe laces are very short as I read that in other comments.
Margaret –
I have a high arch and these are very comfortable. I do walk 2-3 miles several times a week , and they were very stabilizing . This is not my first pair of adrenaline

The toe box was not as wide as the Brooks Ghost 14 and was therefore not as comfortable
Julie –
The navy/yucca color is not navy. It’s too purple-toned and looks cheap. Returning.

I was initially happy with the shoes until about week 2 when the soles started to fall apart. Overall they were comfortable (but not quite not as comfortable as Brooks Ghosts) I ultimately ended up returning the shoes because they were defective. Very disappointing for the price.

I love my new running shoes! They were comfortable right out of the box. The laces were not at all too short for me like other reviews have mentioned. The shoe seems to run a little big, but I didn’t size down since I think they may then be a little tight. Nice support and look good as well!

Black/Purple/Coral, 7.5 M. – I am a 5’5′, 146 pounds, moderately active, 52 yo female who walks apprx 2.5 miles/37 min 4 days a week. I have osteoarthritis in my back and feet, slight scoliosis, and a bit unstable and overpronate, so I can’t run and prefer to walk on grass vs cement sidewalks. I found these shoes by going to Brook’s webpage and answered a quiz to find out the type of shoe I needed and these were an option. I love them! I took them straight out of the box and went for a 2 mile walk with no problems whatsoever. This is the 2nd BROOKS ADRENALINE GTS pair of shoes I’ve owned and they are my favorite go-to walking shoe! – The Black/Purple/Coral shoe has a lining that’s a dark navy blue that peeps through the black mesh and lines the “mouth” and tongue of the shoe, black laces, and gorgeous coral and purple elements that just pop against the black! So, not only are they comfortable straight out of the box, but they are also absolutely beautiful! Some reviewers mentioned the laces being a bit short and almost impossible to tie. I believe this is due to some wearers having a bit fatter foot, or perhaps the feet are even swollen. My feet are a tad skinny and for me the laces are perfect. That being said, they are definitely somewhat shorter than the previous GTS style but are still just fine for the average foot. I will definitely be ordering more when I wear these out. 🙂

These have to be the most disappointing stability shoes I’ve ordered to date. I ordered my usual size, 10.5 Wide, and while the length felt right, the sides were very snug. Sometimes I’ve found that after a little breaking in, narrowing is not an issue, but these are still a little snugger than I like after a couple months. At the very least, the toe box seems wide enough.
The part I find most unacceptable though, is despite the considerable price tag and reputable brand name on these, the quality is absolutely awful. After roughly two months of moderate use (I wear them to work in a primarily sitting-job with occasional treks through a warehouse and on the treadmill for no more than 20 min 5 days a week) these have signs of wear all over the place. There’s a good size piece of tread coming away from the outsole on one shoe, a big chunk taken out of the other, and the cloth around the opening is fraying in various spots. Some of the fraying I can’t even explain as it doesn’t touch my foot or laces, and the fraying on the backs is where the stiff pointed bit rubs constantly above my heels. Another element I had hoped would lessen with time, but it has not.
I may think twice before going back to Brooks, unfortunately.

Felt great first time running in them. Only issue…Shoelaces are way to short.
Hope –
I absolutely love Brooks and the support they provide. This is the 4th pair that I have purchased. I do not typically leave reviews for products but I have had the same problem with ALL 4 pairs of Brooks that I have bought. This particular pair, I have only had for 2 weeks and the sole is already starting to tear and lift off around the edges. I’m and RN so I’m not running or hiking in these shoes, I’m simply walking around on concrete floors. I really hope Brooks can come up with a solution to this problem. It not acceptable that a $160 pair of shoes fall apart after 2 weeks!

They keep changing the Adrenaline that I have been wearing them for 15 years and the shoe has gone downhill. Toe box is smaller, footprint narrower, laces changed as well as narrow lace holes. My heel slips no matter how I lace on my left foot. I am at a loss for what shoe to buy now.

I’ve been wearing Brooks Adrenaline for several years, so I was so disappointed when I tried these on & they instantly dug into my ankles. Other than that, they fir great. I was sad to return, but lesson learned. The GTS fits differently than the regular Adrenalines. And unfortunately Zappos doesn’t differentiate the two.
